Quake 3 Lag Compensation Mod

Hello Quakers,

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I’ve been working on a quake 3 mod that helps reduce the effects of lag for high pingers. It’s basically just a better version of cl_timenudge. It detects your ping and then projects the other player positions into the future, so you can fire directly at the other players rather than having to lead shots by your ping. It’s still in development but it works quite well. The mod is open source and can be found here:

Cool! Yeah it’s available now. To get it you can go to the github page and download the zzznudge_v1.pk3 linked in the description. I’ll periodically be updating it, so you can check back there for fresh copies.

Interesting, reducing that makes unnoticed and it would help a lot for gameplay network stuff.
