The build server has a newer glibc version than you. The easiest solution is probably compiling ioq3ded yourself.
Download the source code from https://github.com/ioquake/ioq3 and run
make BUILD_CLIENT=0 BUILD_GAME_SO=0 BUILD_GAME_QVM=0
.
will try thank you !
Please correct my understanding of the installation procedure on Linux x86:
a. mount CD image of the original game
b. download and install engine - http://ioquake3.org/get-it/ -> Engine Download for Linux (x86_64), 2.6MB
c. download and install - [Data Installer Download for Linux]
now. When i ran the “data installer” it asks for CD and can’t find it - i have a mounted iso. So i do not check any additional options.
d. i go to ~/.q3a/baseq3/ and copy all *.pk3 from /cdrom_mount/Quake3/baseq3/ to ~/.q3a/baseq3/
e. i go to “http://wiki.ioquake3.org/Players_Guide#Updating_3” and download the test and unzip it into the installation directory - /home/az/ioquake3
Are the steps correct?
thank you
