I just reinstalled IOQUAKE3 to a Windows 11 PC it runs fine (I uploaded the old patch that used to be required as well). I have a TON of BOTS, skins and maps that are NOT LOADING and I cannot figure out why? My initial PC is a UBUNTU Linux and after the UBUNTU OS Upgrade from 20.04 to 20.04.1 I have sound everywhere EXCEPT my IOQuake3 game. I have a forum topic on that as well. I am very frustrated. I have a great local server that I cannot play the maps since this install will not see everything as it should.
What the heck and I missing!!!
Where are the files placed for the bots/mods/etc? This answer might help: Players Guide – ioquake3
Sorry about that. On the Windows install they are in the:
The install placed the root of the game at: C:\Program Files (X86)\ioquake3\baseq3) I uploaded the files I had there as well (the bulk of the missing bots and maps… however some are showing).
I also did the patch from Quake3 (it came out years ago) just from habit.
I have reviewed that page (thanks for the submission) but I will re-read it since I may have overlooked something.
Cheers,
