# ioquake3-1.36-7.1.x86\_64.run server is not running!

Hello, i have installed the file ioquake3-1.36-7.1.x86\_64.run and the ioquake3-q3a-1.32-9.run for a debian 8 jessie 64 bit linux systems. I have uploded to the baseq3 folder the pka files. If i start the server this start:

./ioq3ded.x86\_64 +set fs\_game +set net\_ip myIP +set 25100 +set sv\_maxclients 12 +set fs\_basepath ./ +set fs\_homepath ./quake +set com\_hunkmegs 96 +set com\_zoneMegs 64 +set vm\_game 0 +set ttycon 0

if i tip the comand “status” in the console. give me back “server is not running” can you help me please?

It looks like you need to select a map, try `+map q3dm17` on the command line or `map q3dm17` in the console. Please also upgrade to a test build using the scripts linked on our [https://ioquake3.org/help/sys-admin-guide/](https://ioquake3.org/help/sys-admin-guide/)
